Caine's Reckoning - Sarah McCarty

OMG! I've been waiting so long for this author to have a new story. THIS book fulfills all my expectations. Having her Promies books as permanent entries on my book reader, I've always felt that they've never been long enough (you know how you never want a good story to end) :)

Well Caines Reckoning fulfills that. Along the line of her Promises books (in reference to being a 'cowboy' story) this story goes into much more detail of the characters personalities, and the 'why' of their emotions and 'why' they do/react the way they do in the situations that they find themselves in.

Well written, in-depth, full-spectrum characters, gives this story of Caine, a Texas Ranger, just 'this side' of the law, a moving and exhilarating excitement of adventure, as he saves, falls in love and protects Desi, a broken, ardent, never give up type of women,

You may ask, how can the herione be broken and ardent? :) Well, you'll just have to read the story to find that out :)

These characters have so much more depth to them, then the writer is usually able to give, when writing an e-book. McCarty gives them backgrounds and emotions and life experiences that make you understand the 'whys' of what these characters do.

The patience that Caine has for Desi, the struggle that Desi is emotionally going through, and the longing for a stable home and family (and revenge, hope, adventure and lost) that they both suffer, bring the two together in a book that, grabbed me from the very first sentence and didn't let me go, till the very last word.

Now... When does Ms McCarty's next Hell's Eight book come out? /cause I've really got the hots for Tracker/ :D
